To spread some cheer in the days of the coronavirus outbreak, actor Tom Hardy is back to tell bedtime stories to kids via BBC Children.
The long-running Bedtime Stories series on the CBeebies channel will see the Venom star reading books to children from April 27 to May 1.
According to the BBC Press Office, Hardy was filmed in his garden under social distancing guidelines.
Hardy, who first appeared on the show in 2016, will start with the Hug Me picture book by Simone Ciraolo, followed by Under the Same Sky by Robert Vescio and Nicky Johnston and There’s a Tiger in the Garden by Lizzy Stewart. .
Later in the week, the actor will read Don’t Worry, Little Crab by Chris Haughton and The Problem With Problems by Rachel Rooney and Zehra Hicks.
Cheryl Taylor, head of content at BBC Children’s, said the team were delighted to reunite with Hardy.
“It’s during tough times like this that the BBC fulfills its goal of entertaining the whole of the UK and these new stories are guaranteed to do just that with their themes of long distance friendship, sharing of problems and genuine courage to overcome seemingly impossible challenges, “Taylor said in a statement.
Bedtime Stories will air weekdays at 6:50 p.m. local time on CBeebies, also available on BBC iPlayer.
