The sixth annual children’s music day is Friday October 1

Keep Music Alive, a national music education advocacy organization, today announced that the bassist, author and five-time Grammy winner Victor wooten will be the official spokesperson for the 6e Annual Children’s Music Day. Victor was appointed Bassist of the Year three times a Bassist’s Magazine, while Rolling stone included it in their Top 10 bassists of all time List. Victor is a champion of music education, having founded Victor Wooten’s Music & Nature Center, a music education camp where he and other top performing musicians lead a variety of classes featuring all instruments each summer. Victor’s last book, “The Spirit of Music: The Lesson Continuesis ”, is a Inspirational parable of the importance of music and the many threats it faces in today’s world.

The 6th edition “Music day for childrenWill be celebrated on Friday, October 1, 2021. Each year, Keep the music alive partners with music schools, music stores and other music organizations around the world to host special events that benefit and celebrate kids who play music. The aim is to emphasize the importance of including music in the education of children. Events hosted by participating locations include open houses, petting zoos, free music lessons, student concerts, community / family jams, instrument donation drives, open microphones for kids , clinics and more. The Music & Arts The retail chain will run two free group music lessons at more than 180 class locations nationwide:

All group lesson participants can register for a free trial class with an instructor of their choice and, if they register to become students, they will receive one free registration (additional value of $ 30). Keep Music Alive will also be hosting a music and art competition at KeepMusicAlive.org with a $ 100 gift card and a full month of free lessons.
