WITH schools closing and the nation retreating to their homes for the foreseeable future, entertaining children in the weeks to come seems like a daunting task.

However, parents are not worried that the TV streaming service Rakuten came to the rescue.

Rakuten, which is available as an app and online, has a free section where you can access dozens of family favorites.

Some of the children’s TV shows available include Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit as well as Louie the Rabbit.

And as for films, the little ones can watch Racing Stripes, a film about a zebra who dreams of becoming a racehorse.

Fear not, these aren’t all kids shows with several options available for parents to watch at no cost.
