Newtown Theater is bringing back free kids’ movies this summer

Summer is here and everything is open again! Life is back! That being said, there are a lot of things your kids will want to do this summer and if you’re already running out of ideas, don’t worry, we’ve got something for you.

According to Patch.com, this summer, the Newtown Theater offers free children’s movies starting the first Wednesday in July.

We have learned that seats for the free movies at the Newtown Theater are very limited and it’s on a first come, first serve basis. So you don’t have to book.

Here is the schedule according to Patch.com, “Shrek, July 7 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Minions, July 14, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., The Spongebob Movie, July 28, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.”

It was also stated on Patch.com that this is a great opportunity for those with autism to enjoy great movies. During the afternoon, “the house lights will be on slightly and the movie sound will be lowered slightly” to ensure that everyone feels safe and enjoying their time at the Newtown Theater.

It’s a great way to keep your kids busy if you want them to do something. The best part is, it won’t hurt your pocket at all. Patch.com also reported that the Newtown Theater is hosting summer camps to get kids to watch a free movie.

This isn’t the first time Newtown Theater has offered free movies for kids during the summer.
