Kids’ movies release for the rest of 2022

One of the best activities for families is going to the movies. While watching a movie at home can be fun and relaxing, there’s something exciting about going to see something on the big screen. Going out for the night, having snacks, walking on sticky ground and sitting down to watch something on the big screen can be exciting for a child.

There’s always something new hitting the big screen, and even though we’re almost halfway through 2022 (already!), there are still plenty of kids’ movies to come. Some may not be the ones you’ve heard much about, and some may be the ones your kids have been waiting for. Whatever types of movies you and your family enjoy, there will be something for everyone. We’ve scoured and found all 15 kids movies set to release in the rest of 2022.

15 family camp

According to Initiated in the cinema, family camp is a film about a pastor who encourages his congregation to sign up for a week at a family camp. This film is said to be a comedy that will keep the whole family laughing. The film is rated PG and will be released on May 13.

14 Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers

Chip ‘n Dale are two of Disney’s most iconic characters, and it looks like their adventures aren’t over yet. Tic and Tac: Rescue Rangers, follow the brothers in a new adventure, and this one mixes cartoon and real. It seems to be similar to the tom and jerry movie, and we’ll see the Chip ‘n Dale cartoon in the real world. This film is released on May 20.

13 Light year

Light year is a film that has been awaited by many fans. This film will tell the story of Buzz Lightyear from toy story, and it was said to be his definitive origin story. The movie about the hero behind the toy is one every kid (and their parents) will want to see. This film is released on June 17.

12 Paws Of Fury: The Legend Of Hank

For kids who love movies with animals, this can be a great choice. Paws Of Fury: The Legend Of Hank follows a dog who finds himself in a town full of cats. These cats need a hero to defeat a villain, but the only problem seems to be that cats don’t like dogs. This film will be released in theaters on July 15.

Minions have become a household name, and there’s probably not a single kid who doesn’t know who they are. This new movie follows Gru as a young boy and his new band of minions as they get into the kind of normal trouble we’ve come to expect from this team. This film is released on July 1.

Musicals are becoming increasingly popular among young people, and this one may be ideal for the tween in your life. It follows the life of 13-year-old Evan as he moves from New York to Indiana and faces many challenges that your kids can relate to. This film is released on August 12.

9 Secret Headquarters

There are a lot of kids who would like to have a secret headquarters, and this movie may help them realize their dreams. This movie is about a kid who finds out that a superhero has a secret headquarters under his own house. This film will be released on the big screen on August 5th.

8 Hocus Pocus 2

This movie might be more anticipated by parents than kids, but that just means it’s going to be a great night out. The Sanderson sisters are brought back by three young women, and the chaos is sure to be destroyed. According to digital spy, all of the original cast are set to appear, making this a movie for anyone who was a fan of the original. This film will be released on a perfect night, October 31st.

7 White Bird: A Wonderful Story

This movie may be great for older kids, and it tells the story of kindness by following the life of a bully who has some important lessons to learn. 2 Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

We first met Puss in Boots in the Shrek movies, but he was so beloved he got his own movies. This is another movie that will see Puss on an epic adventure to regain some of his 9 lives he lost, but he only has one life left so he has to be careful. This film is released on December 21.

1 Mathilde the musical

Matilda is one of the most beloved children’s stories, and it spawned a movie and a Broadway show. It’s now coming to the big screen, in a musical format and it’s one the whole family can enjoy. It is slated for release in December, although no official date has been announced.
